Wheels of Steel is a recreational, wheelchair basketball team for physically challenged youth.  The team was formed in 1992 to provide a team sport opportunity for youth with physical disabilities.  The team travels to tournaments and practices once a week.  Raleigh Parks and Recreation provides the team with gym facilites.  The team is operated by parents with financial support from fundraising and donations.  Wheels of Steel is an established 501(c)(3)a corporation.  Donations to the team are tax deductible.
